POS (point of purchase) credit card terminals are needed to accept credit card and debit card purchases at a business. About 87% of customers pay with a debit or credit card. A card terminal is a device in which a customer will swipe a debit card or a credit card to pay for a service or merchandise. The terminal will then verify and process the payment. There are two different types of terminals, one type has a printer and one type does not. Terminals with a printer can have the thermal paper, which is more expensive initially, but saves on ink and down time to change ink cartridges.
